Raised Floor for Data Center Build-Outs

We specialize in installing - Computer Cabinets, Cabinet Power Strips, Ladder Racking, Floor Tile Cuts and Moves, Overhead Power Bus, Cage Fencing, Air Containment (soft and hard), Shelving.

Raised floors in data centers serve as the primary infrastructure for Underfloor Air Distribution (UFAD), where a sealed plenum beneath the floor acts as a pressurized chamber to deliver chilled air directly to server intakes.

Perforated floor tiles are strategically placed in cold aisles to release this air, facilitating hot aisle/cold aisle containment which improves cooling efficiency by 20-40% and reduces the risk of hot spots.

While traditional raised floors offer rapid, zero-disruption access for power and data cabling, they face limitations in high-density environments where the underfloor plenum may struggle to supply sufficient air volume.

Consequently, hyperscale data centers often prefer flooded room designs with overhead cooling, whereas multi-tenant and smaller facilities continue to favor raised floors for their flexibility and ease of reconfiguration.
